We have nothing but positive comments about Mountain Kids!
A few things I think are great:
1. Your Knowledgeable Staff
Each teacher on your staff that we have experienced is knowledgeable both in how to work with children in an age-appropriate way and in aspects of physical/motor development. In all the classes my kids have taken, the instructors are able to use this knowledge to customize or modify activities based on where a child is developmentally at that point in time and then to help that child grow and develop physical skills from there.
2. Mountain Kids Positive, Fun environment
I like that the focus of the younger kids classes that we’ve taken is fun-based (non-competitive) while still building on their skills developmentally. That is, there is a curriculum based on motor development and skill development (including safety), but it’s approached as fun-based, not task-based (if that makes sense). My kids love coming to gymnastics and practicing things they learned at home and I know they are taking away not only the skills they are learning away from it, but also building their confidence in their own competencies and a desire to practice things over and over for the fun of it…
3. Variety of offerings/convenient times.
I like that you offer so many different classes both gymnastics and dance (and the combo class) and for the different ages. It’s great that I can bring both kids in and have them both in a class appropriate for each of them at same time. And when Annabella started in own class I had wanted to expose her to both some dance and gymnastics to see what she might like. Clearly she liked the gymnastics better but the combo class gave her an opportunity to try dance and decide what she really liked.
We really appreciate all you do.

We have had the pleasure of being with Mountain Kids since before my daughter became a competitive gymnast. After her first competition year, she decided she wanted something a little different. We checked out a few other gyms in the area, and even signed on with one. I knew from the get go that the gym was not a good fit. After two weeks of practice, my daughter came to me sobbing saying she had made a mistake, and wanted to go back to Mountain Gymnastics. When I inquired about the “why”, she said they had taken away her love of the sport!
If you have a gymnast who loves the sport of gymnastics and will thrive in a nurturing, challenging environment, Mountain Kids is the place for you! The coaches and the owner are all outstanding people, who truly want to create a passion for the sport in your child! They are encouraging, and motivating and foster an environment that will not only challenge your gymnasts abilities, but also help your child to develop athletic, emotional and social confidence. In our experiences outside of Mountain Kids, we found that many of the coaches and gyms are so competitive that they take the love of the sport, and the desire to succeed away from the very kids who go there to nurture an athletic passion. If you want your child to develop self-confidence, a commitment to a sport, and to continue to compete without going through burn out, I couldn’t recommend a gym more highly.

As parents, we are always looking for fun and motivational activities for our three children. We have found Mountain Kids to be one of the best places in the area. The staff is excellent and the management is friendly, honest and trustworthy. It is a great place for kids to learn physical skills as well as social skills and respect for others. Our kids love Mountain Kids and I would highly recommend the program to all ages.

What do you think is Great about Mountain Kids?
My kids love to come home and show their dad all the moves they have learned from class. I love that it is a family atmosphere and that the coaches truly love kids! We also greatly benefit from the several classes going on at once.
Thanks!!!

You accomodate kids of all abilities. My 5 year old daughter wanted to take gymnastics but had never tried it. Her instructors have been wonderful, teaching to her ability level even when other children in the class were at different levels. We would love to enroll our 17 month old in one of your younger classes, she’s always trying to join in!
Also, your birthday parties are SO much fun! We’re coming to one this Saturday, and have been to several others but never tire of them! Your instructors really seem to enjoy the kids and what they do.

As working parents we love the summer camp at Mountain Kids. It is wonderful all the activates they do, especially the swimming lessons. Our daughter would come home tired and always looked forwarded to going back the next day. Mountain Kids Summer Camp is like a one-stop shop for kids summer activities.
Thanks,

From the counselors’ enthusiasm each morning, to my little girl’s smile after a full day at camp, Mountain Kids has the professional management, diverse activities and positive environment we’ve genuinely appreciated over the past two summers.

We really enjoyed sending our two toddler daughters to the moonbeamers class! The girls learned many activities that were just plain fun to the girls, but in reality were enhancing their motor skills. The teachers are great and work with each child’s needs on an individual basis.

What is great about Mountain Kids is the positive attitude of the staff. They smile a lot. They teach the kids that gaining skill and strength, goes hand in hand with having fun and feeling good about themselves. -Lisa Weisz.
Mountain Kids has been an extremely positive experience for my child. The atmosphere is welcoming and provides them with excellent instruction without putting undue stress on their schedules. This has been a perfect match for us.
